What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Complete outbound calls to provider offices on behalf of patients
• Verify medical necessity criteria and coverage guidelines for prior authorization with insurance payers
• Work with providers and payers to maximize patient reimbursement
• Prepare and submit prior authorization requests for medications, procedures, and services
• Monitor the status of pending authorizations and follow up with insurance carriers as needed
  
  

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with medical benefits and prior authorizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including typing and data entry
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• High School Diploma or equivalent
