Building & Earth Sciences, Inc is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician Trainee. No experience required, but basic construction skills and outdoor work are preferred. Pay starts at $17+ per hour, depending on experience.

A valid driver’s record, clean background, and successful drug screen are required. The role offers on-the-job training, company-provided gear, and per diem travel when working outside the local area.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; basic construction skills preferred.
• Willing to travel for field work and remote projects.
• Must be able to document test results clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform materials testing on concrete, soils, rebar, mortar and related materials.
• Record and report test results accurately for field projects.
• Support travel to projects and work nights/weekends as scheduled.

Remote project technicians are paid per diem on top of their hourly rate and are paid for their travel time to different jobs.

SCHEDULING NOTE: This position will require NIGHT shift work as well as some WEEKEND work days. Your daily schedule can change from day to day and you must be able to accommodate a flexible working schedule and have reliable transportation to and from the branch office at all hours of the day if needed.
