Job Description

This position involves the following major responsibilities:

1. Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
2. Ensure regular, reliable attendance
3. Place customers’ purchases into bags
4. Place filled bags in carts
5. Carry customers' purchases to cars
6. Retrieve carts from parking lot
7. Pick up paper and debris in the store, parking lot, and from carts
8. Stock bags on check stands
9. Empty trash from check stands and service center
10. Sweep and mop floors
11. Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
12. Read and understand shelf tags
13. Verify prices of merchandise
14. Perform other duties as assigned by store management

Training

Training will be provided at the store level.

Physical Demands

• Bending and stooping
• Ability to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Work outside in seasonal weather
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
