Sigma Defense in Ridgecrest, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer II to work under a Senior Software Lead to develop new software for the ROTR1 radar system. The role supports critical T&E and validation missions for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.

You will design, implement, test, and deliver software in a real-time environment, with a requirement for a US citizenship and ability to obtain/hold a Secret security clearance.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.

Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Engineer II to work under a Senior Software lead to develop new software for the Remotely Operated Tracking Radar #1 at the China Lake Range. This software products will enable the new ROTR1 hardware suite to function and support critical T&E and validation missions for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.

• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux with real-time extensions.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Computer Programs/Software Experience:

• C++, Real-time programming, Servo Software and data filtering, Eclipse and/or Qt development environment(s), Radar, optical sensor, and servo concepts and terminology.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Software Engineering, or related field of study.

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
• A clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

Hourly Rate: $47.96 per hour.
