A leading community mental health organization seeks Associate Counselors to deliver essential therapeutic services to youth and their families. This role involves direct client engagement, assessment, and developing recovery strategies within a supportive team environment. Candidates must hold a master's degree in a relevant field and appropriate licensure by the State of Texas, with opportunities for professional development and competitive compensation.
This is an excellent opportunity for Associate Counselors (i.e., LPC-Associate, LMSW, and LMFT-Associate) to gain clinical experience!
Under the direction of the Youth and Family Services Manager, this position involves working with youth and their families to deliver therapeutic mental health services. These services include skills training, psychosocial rehabilitation, case management, intakes, and Hospital Discharge Follow Up appointments. Services are provided in BTCS’ facilities, community settings, or in the person's home, either in-person or via Tele-Video, as appropriate. The primary service area is the Caldwell County School District Counseling referrals.
The role promotes recovery and wellness, community integration, stable living, and improved quality of life. It requires detailed electronic documentation and adherence to company and state guidelines. A minimum of 55% of hours worked must be direct services. The candidate should be able to work independently and in a team, prioritize needs during crises, participate in meetings and training, and perform other duties with a positive attitude.
Additional responsibilities include consultation with staff and participation in program planning. The position may serve as the primary service provider or as a consultant within a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Caldwell County
Associate Counselor: $22.51 – $30.26/hr
Counselor: $31.80 – $38.55/hr

Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field, and current licensure by the State of Texas as an LPC-Associate, LMSW, or LMFT-Associate. Must obtain full licensure within 6 months of hire. Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual skills and full licensure are preferred.
