Job summary

Gunstock Mountain Resort is seeking a 15-year-old Youth Instructor for the winter season. The role focuses on welcoming guests, helping students prepare for ski or snowboard lessons, and assisting lead instructors in supervised areas.

Training will cover PSIA & AASI methods, with emphasis on safety and guest experience. Ideal candidates should be confident across Gunstock terrain, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a guest-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years old by Dec 1, 2026.
• Seasonal winter position.
• Preseason training on Dec 5, 6, 12 and 13.
• Able to meet and greet guests and assist with lessons.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet Children’s program guests.
• Help students prepare for ski/snowboard lessons.
• Assist lead instructor or lead a lesson in a supervised area.
• Learn PSIA & AASI Teaching Methodology and provide a professional learning environment.
• Match students to appropriate skill levels and work with supervisors on changes.
• Maintain knowledge of Snowsports programs and Gunstock operations.
• Model safe behavior and follow the Skier's Responsibility Code.
