Summary and Objective

The 145 MRO Buyer is responsible for overseeing the procurement of all aircraft-related parts, equipment, services, and supplies necessary to support the company’s overall 145/MRO operations, including support for outside customers and MSU operations at outstations. This role involves sourcing aircraft parts and services, initiating purchase orders, expediting existing orders, and coordinating logistics to meet immediate operational requirements. Responsibilities also include supporting the needs of the 145/MRO, Interior, and Paint Shops, or other departments are requested by the Manager/Director. The position ensures that all service requests are addressed promptly and effectively supporting the return of customer core units in accordance with customer requirements. Additionally, the 145 MRO Buyer is responsible for ensuring that all material eligible for customer billing is properly identified and provided to the appropriate departments for accurate inclusion on customer invoices.

  • Continuous follow-up to ensure supplier and delivery commitments are met.
  • Shall positively support and promote safety, security, and quality as a fundamental function of the overall responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance requisitions in a way that minimizes inventory investments and meets time requirements.
  • Review all purchase requisitions for content, accuracy, interchangeability, and the level of urgency. Also monitor current stock levels and usage, to determine the necessity of the request.
  • Determine the responsible sources of supply.
  • Evaluate purchases to ensure compliance with all Federal Regulations and Company policies regarding quality, documentation and traceability.
  • Expedite open purchase orders.
  • Contact vendors to negotiate prices, obtain the most preferred tag and direct the method of shipment.
  • Procure components, services, equipment and supplies with high levels of reliability while maintaining fiduciary responsibility to the Company.
  • Oversee all material requirements during AOG situations.
  • Report any delays to the Director of Supply Chain Management for further visibility.
  • Monitor and track all Customer core units and advise on any issues with late returns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
