Job Description

Position Purpose: Our Meat Cutter executes daily operations in the Meat and Seafood departments, providing a memorable experience for customers. The role requires keen attention to Food Safety and Sanitation, assisting in stocking, production, and merchandising while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap, and label products following quality, freshness, and safety standards.
  • Handle, cut, trim, and wrap products properly to control shrink and inventory costs.
  • Assist customers by providing helpful product information and selling products effectively.
  • Use meat department tools and equipment safely, including knives, saws, wrapping machines, tenderizers, patty makers, and grinders.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked meat counter and work areas.
  • Assist in preparing ready-to-go meat products.
  • Slice, weigh, and merchandise deli meats and cheeses.
  • Display goods according to department and merchandising guidelines.
  • Take customer orders, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, keyboarding, telephone use, walking, bending.
