Job summary

LEHR seeks an Automotive Installation 12V Technician to join our Kansas team in Olathe. The role focuses on wiring, installing, and testing 12-volt electronics in mission-critical vehicle upfits for first responder fleets.

The position offers daytime hours, competitive hourly pay, health benefits, 401K, and paid time off. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ 12V electronics experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience – 12V electronics (wiring, relays, diodes) and disassembling vehicle interiors.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install new and refurbished 12-volt electronics according to customer specifications and company protocols.
• Mount hardware equipment such as cages, push bumpers, and equipment boxes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems; diagnose wiring, relays, lighting, sirens, and other safety control issues.
• Document installation and service activities in compliance with company policies.
• Perform post-installation tests to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain a self-driven workflow to meet allocated build-time targets.
