Job summary

LG Chem America, Inc. is seeking a 12-Month Procurement Internship to support the North America Business Services Team and procure items such as Raw Materials, Equipment and Construction for LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas. The role is based in Atlanta, GA, and targets recent graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree.

The internship is full-time, 12 months, hourly, 40 hours per week, with hours Monday to Friday 8AM–5PM and bilingual Korean-English ability required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; preference in Supply Chain/Logistics or International Trade.
• Must be bilingual (Korean-English) and able to work 8AM-5PM.
• Knowledgeable of international trade regulations, documentation and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities related to Raw Materials, Equipment, Construction, and MRO for LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas.
• Handle procurement tasks under the guidance of the team leader and in accordance with company policies.
• Assist tasks: Supplier Registration, Bank Account Registration, Eco-Friendly Material Review.
• Deliver schedule management for Raw Materials, Equipment, and Construction; process customs duties and related costs; manage supplier payments.
• Conduct supplier sourcing and price comparison for General Procurement items.
• Prepare and submit HQ and weekly/monthly reports.
• Utilize PowerPoint, Excel and ERP systems for data analysis and reporting.

LG Chem has a newly created 12-Month Procurement Internship position that will support the Business Services Team for North America and is based in our corporate office in Atlanta, GA. This 12-Month Procurement Internship is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate to learn real world experience to support procuring items such as Raw Materials, Equipment, and Construction vendors for LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas. Bachelor Degree required , preference in Supply Chain/Logistics, and qualified candidates will be knowledgeable with international trade regulations , documentation and processes.

This is a full-time, 12-month, hourly position (40-hours per week) and is based in our Corporate office in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA. To qualify, candidates must be bilingual (Korean-English) , completed a Bachelor Degree, and able to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours of 8AM - 5PM.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

• Support procurement activities related to Raw Materials, Equipment, Construction, and MRO for LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas.
• Perform all procurement tasks under the guidance of the team leader and in accordance with company policies.
• Handle key procurement processes such as Supplier Registration, Bank Account Registration, and Eco-Friendly Material Review.
• Assist and support the following tasks: Delivery schedule management for Raw Materials, Equipment, and Construction / Processing of customs duties and related logistics costs / Supplier payment management and reporting.
• Conduct supplier sourcing and price comparison for General Procurement (GP) items.
• Prepare and submit reports including HQ reports and weekly/monthly reports.
• Proficiency in communication, data analysis, and reporting using PowerPoint, Excel and ERP systems is essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For

Competencies/Desired Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Preference in Supply Chain/Logistics or International Trade.
