Job description

Responsibilities:

Compensation and Workflow Management

Workflow Automation Support

  • Understand both existing and new mechanisms related to compensation, campaigns, clubs, schemes, and develop workflows using Alteryx, SQL, Python or VBA.
  • Collaborate with department members to review current workflows and provide coaching to enhance them using consistent, agreed-upon standards.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on developed workflows to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Facilitate briefings and/or workshops to familiarise process owners with newly developed workflows and processes.
  • Support capability-building efforts by conducting skills training (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, workflow development, data analysis) for department or division members
  • Perform data analysis to uncover trends, patterns and correlations that can inform and drive business decisions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, process owners, developers, and vendors on process improvement initiatives, while actively challenging the status quo.

Compensation Support

  • Generation monthly and ad-hoc compensation reports for distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond to compensation-related enquiries from various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the testing and deployment of system / data pipeline changes, including preparing test cases, executing UAT, and documenting results.
  • Monitor scheduled data jobs and troubleshoot failures or inconsistencies in data flow.

Requirements:

  • Education – Minimum Business, IT or Science degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the insurance industry.
  • Familiar with regulatory guidelines from MAS and LIA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in Macro (VBA) programming.
  • Experienced in SQL and Python for data extraction. transformation and automation.
  • Working knowledge of Alteryx for data preparation and workflow automation (not a primary focus).
  • Good understanding of data analytics techniques and data visualization best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good grasp of business process and systems.
  • Self motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of management.
  • Highly organized and meticulous, with strong attention to detail.
