Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communications Sciences and Disorders.
• Florida certification or state license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and design educational and therapy plans annually for each student based on individually assessed needs.
• Coordinate with ESE teachers to align therapy with the overall educational program.
• Obtain and maintain approval as a Medicaid provider.
• Submit documentation for reimbursement of eligible students.
• Participate in in-school staffing and screenings for speech/language/hearing.
• Provide diagnostic/evaluation testing for students failing screenings.
• Confer with teachers regarding student needs.
• Provide instructional ideas for exceptional students in the classroom.

Education

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communications Sciences and Disorders

Florida certification or Florida state license
