Shift: Night 11:00PM - 7:00AM (Monday - Friday and Saturdays as needed)

Training starts on dayshift regardless of what shift you are hired for.

The Opportunity:

  • Supporting the operation of a fast-paced, continuous-run manufacturing facility with an emphasis on a “Safety First” culture.
  • Ensuring that all tooling for the machine is on hand, assisting other operators with setup and breakdown, maintaining a clean work area, free of spills and debris.
  • Following production and print specs as well as machine process SOPs, ensuring quality standards are met with each order.
  • Cross-training and qualification with various machines in the department, working efficiently and independently.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • Follow line clearing procedures.
  • Perform machine set up tasks on both gluers as directed by the production spec in a timely manner.
  • Set up and follow all stacking patterns according to production spec.
  • Ability to understand print specifications.
  • Ability to understand production specifications.
  • Ability to run Machine efficiently and independently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed daily production goals in a timely and safe manner.
  • Ensure quality standards are met on every order.
  • Ability to learn all finishing machines as well as assist on the main line bander.
  • Completing paperwork and inputting computer data.
  • After machine is set up assist the operator as needed.
  • Use of available time to prepare machine for next set up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor, Superintendent, or Production Manager.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
  • A strong desire to advance within the industry.
  • Flexibility to work swing shifts, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts; available to work overtime, including weekends.
  • Math and ruler/tape measurement skills preferred.
  • The ability to learn and perform all job functions of the Converting Finishing Operator and train all new hand labor/finishing Operators.
  • The ability to read, comprehend, and interpret written and graphic instructions on factory work orders, factory print cards, and to understand design specifications.
  • The ability to write and read a tape measure in 1/16 increments, general mathematical knowledge including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Follow instructions as well as work as a team member.
