Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current Texas nursing license or eligibility.
• Minimum 12 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family care.
• Communicates to the team, patients and family and evaluates understanding.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Provides safe medication and IV administration.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Basic Life Support Certification

Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so

RN experience (12 months)
