Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a PCT/CNA for day and night shifts, two days per week, 12-hour rotations in a busy South Florida hospital. The role focuses on patient preparation, safety, vital signs, and assisting licensed nurses across units, including perioperative and post-operative care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and prefer Florida Nursing Assistant Certification with CPR; ongoing training to obtain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Florida Nursing Assistant Certification preferred; CPR Certification required.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate within 90 days of employment (cost center NURSING- 6 DE HMT SOUTH).

Responsibilities

• Prepare unit and patient rooms for admissions, transfers, and post-operative patients.
• Position, lift, and ambulate patients using proper body mechanics.
• Apply and use equipment as needed and follow infection prevention measures.
• Report changes in patient condition to LPN/RN promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient belongings.
• Take vital signs and document promptly in patient records.
• Support nurses with patient care tasks and routine rounds every 2 hours.
• Assist with procedures, patient bathing, and hygiene needs.
