A leading healthcare provider seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for comprehensive patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include vital assessments, medication administration, documentation, and patient education. This Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides care to individuals under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse Manager in an outpatient setting. The LVN or CMA will have the opportunity to provide nursing care and assistance to the individuals while building rapport and understanding the whole person and their individual needs.
Under the leadership of the Director of Outpatient Nursing and the Regional Center Director, this position may also provide support to individuals with primary care needs. The LVN or CMA possesses a positive attitude, caring spirit, and works within an integrated multidisciplinary team. This position works alongside and supports other LVNs, CMAs, office support staff, and the prescribing Physicians and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in the clinic.
The LVN or CMA will assess vital signs, weight, height, BMI, and update the chart while documenting accordingly in the electronic medical record. The position will assist the individual with refills and gain signatures on medical consent. The LVN or CMA will be responsible for assisting with phone calls from individuals with concerns and providing education regarding nutrition, medication management, exercise, and diagnosis.
The LVN or CMA (under delegation and supervision) is proficient in clinical skills for tasks such as administering injectable medications, performing venipuncture, urine drug screens, pregnancy tests, and other point of care testing in the clinic. The nurse will work closely with the Physicians and NPs during in-clinic procedures when needed.
This position will assist in the coordination of the delivery of clinical and nursing care for primary care and behavioral health services and will perform responsible LVN or CMA work in the assigned locations.
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of individuals in accordance with accepted professional, legal, and ethical nursing standards. This LVN or CMA will work primarily in the Bastrop clinic but will cover the Giddings and LaGrange clinics to assist as needed. The LVN or CMA is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures and reporting to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Applicable Differentials:
Up to $2.00/hr Prior Experience at a community center in a previous role
$1.00/hr Tenure with BTCS
