Job description

Pay Range: $19.00- $24.50

Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for cutting all meat according to trim specifications and guidelines. Ensures the quality and freshness of meat products for display in the meat case to promote sales. Provides excellent customer service and courtesy consistently. Must adhere to all corporate and state sanitation and safety procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Consistently deliver fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
  2. Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them upon fulfilling their requests.
  3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
  4. Cut and prepare meat using knives, saws, cubers, and grinders.
  5. Ensure proper wrapping, weighing, and labeling of meat products.
  6. Follow all corporate meat department procedures and standards, including case layout and trim specifications.
  7. Adhere to sanitation and temperature guidelines, including corporate and state inspection standards.
  8. Receive all meat products delivered to the store, including DSD and warehouse deliveries.
  9. Control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a cutting test.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic literacy and computer skills.
  • At least 6-12 months of related experience.
