Job description

About Us: Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Monitoring the cement manufacturing process from the centralized operations center and analyzing the equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to ensure the plant operates within specified parameters.

  2. Identifying and troubleshooting process and equipment issues in a timely manner and collaborating with plant and HROC teams to resolve problems to minimize downtime and production losses.

  3. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, equipment readings, and operational activities as required to assist in the analysis of operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

  4. Ensuring safe and continuous operation, product quality, and compliance with environmental requirements in coordination with plant personnel and other HROC staff.

What Are We Looking For:

  1. Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree, preferably Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing. Technical certifications or vocational training in process operations or a related field may substitute for a degree.

  2. Previous experience in a similar industrial environment is desirable, but not required due to the comprehensive training program. This position offers a unique opportunity for a 6-to-8-month training period that includes comprehensive training in the cement manufacturing process/equipment and key responsibilities.

  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision.

  4. Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.

  5. Ability to travel in both the United States and Canada as required.
