Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking a full-time Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Mossville, IL analytics team. You will own data architecture, governance, and end-to-end user access management for multiple programs and datasets.

As part of a modernization initiative, you will migrate from a legacy SAS platform to a modern reporting framework, collaborating with Data Specialists, Data Scientists, and report builders to ensure a high-quality data experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Associate's degree in computer programming or a related field required.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Database Administrator (DBA) for a small analytics team, maintaining the intended data architecture, implementing data governance, creating and managing database objects, and documenting the architecture and program-specific flows.
Own end-to-end user access management, including triaging access requests, obtaining approvals/denials, communicating results, granting access, and administering role-based access controls.
Serve as the Data/Product Owner for multiple analytics programs and datasets, collaborating with the broader team to ensure consistent architecture and user experience.
Support the team's modernization initiative, migrating from a legacy SAS central platform to a modern reporting framework.
Coordinate, test, and implement changes to Snowflake databases, correcting errors and modifying databases/DBMS as needed.
Author, troubleshoot, and performance-tune SQL views and queries; build and maintain data pipelines (ETL) and job orchestration, including cloud scheduling such as AWS Lambda.
Build and improve data sets and reporting for owned programs, and support customer inquiries on available data, enhancements, and general support.
Advise and support the data needs of Data Specialists/Scientists and report builders, performing joint planning to avoid duplicative or conflicting outputs.
Assist in managing the team's broader technology footprint, which includes Snowflake, SAS, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Power BI, and Tableau.

Position Overview

This role serves as the Database Administrator (DBA) for a small analytics team, owning the data architecture, data governance, and end-to-end user access management for multiple analytics programs and datasets. The DBA will play a key role in supporting the team's modernization initiative, migrating from a legacy SAS platform to a modern reporting framework, while partnering closely with Data Specialists, Data Scientists, and report builders to ensure a consistent, high-quality data experience.

Team of 6.
Onsite position based in Mossville, IL, with in-office collaboration.
Frequent, detailed communication is required on a daily basis.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Associate's degree in computer programming or a related field required.

Top Skills

Snowflake database administration, including implementation, debugging/troubleshooting/tracing, and issue resolution.
Data governance and architecture.
Strong SQL and query engineering, including data pipeline/ETL development, view/query authoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Additional Technical Skills (Required)

Version control systems and code review processes.
Documentation of architecture and program-specific flows.

Additional Technical Skills (Desired)

BI tooling experience (Power BI and/or Tableau).
