Celestica is seeking a forward-thinking Technical Project Manager to lead transformative initiatives in our Test Engineering organization. You will drive new test processes, bridge Hardware Design, Software/Diagnostics, and Manufacturing Test teams, and oversee AI integration and data analytics for adaptive testing.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define strategies, and push for efficiency in manufacturing test across the design-to-production lifecycle.

Summary

We are seeking a forward-thinking Technical Project Manager to spearhead transformative initiatives within our Test Engineering organization. In this cross-functional leadership role, you will be the driving force behind implementing new test processes and bridging the gap between Hardware Design, Software/Diagnostics, and Manufacturing Test teams. You will lead the strategy, process definition, and execution—including integrating AI in test, deploying adaptive testing methodologies and driving advanced test data analytics.

Detailed Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Test Process Implementation: Lead the development, standardization, and rollout of new processes in the manufacturing test area to improve operational efficiency, minimize cycle times, and maximize product yield.
  • Boundary Scan & Hardware Integration: Champion and drive the optimization of boundary scan (JTAG/IEEE 1149.x) strategies directly into hardware design workflows, ensuring optimal physical access and high structural test coverage from the initial design stages.
  • MTRS Process Leadership: Define, govern, and optimize the end-to-end flows for Manufacturing Test Requirement Specifications (MTRS). Ensure seamless collaboration and clear deliverables between product design, diagnostics software, and factory test teams.
  • AI & Adaptive Testing Initiatives: Spearhead the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning within the test ecosystem. Oversee the deployment of adaptive testing frameworks that dynamically adjust test sequences and limits based on real-time factory data.
  • Test Data Analytics Implementation: Lead the adoption and integration of advanced test data analytics platforms. Leverage metrics such as Cpk, Gauge R&R, and SPC to drive predictive yield modeling, reduce false failures, and inform strategic engineering decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Act as the central project manager linking Hardware Design, Software, and Manufacturing Test Development. Drive schedules, manage risks, and ensure diagnostic capabilities are designed with manufacturing efficiency in mind.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Technical & Process Expertise

Proven track record of defining and implementing manufacturing test processes, particularly MTRS flows and test strategy documentation.

Strong understanding of Design for Testability (DFT), Boundary Scan diagnostics, and how to drive these requirements into early hardware design phases.

Experience implementing or managing Test Data Analytics platforms and a solid grasp of statistical quality metrics (Cpk, GR&R, SPC).

Innovation & Strategy

Familiarity with modern test innovations, including AI applications in manufacturing and adaptive/dynamic testing methodologies.

Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
  • Duties of this position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motion, standing, sitting in a confined work space, climbing, using equipment, handling lightweight materials, etc.
  • Duties of this position require periodic heavy manual effort and considerable exertion including lifting objects over 20 pounds, requiring straining, pulling and lifting.
  • Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • May require occasional travel.
Salary

Annual base salary- $122,761- $191,405

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

Typical Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in test engineering, DFT, or hardware manufacturing, with at least 3 years successfully managing complex technical projects or leading cross-functional teams.
Typical Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. PMP, Agile, or related project management certification is a strong plus.
