The role you’ll contribute:

Performs a wide range of technical skills utilized during various Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide efficient, comfortable, and safe examinations. The Technologist is proficient in angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring, adhering to department policies and professional standards. Actively participates in outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships with all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, uses PPE appropriately, and performs hand hygiene according to standards. Prepares patients using aseptic technique, recognizes hazards, and enforces safety regulations. Meets all department-specific competencies annually.
• Verifies orders, communicates with physicians, performs treatments, administers medications, and functions effectively in clinical emergencies. Evaluates intervention effectiveness and performs within scope of practice. Facilitates patient throughput.
• Produces accurate and timely medical records, maintaining their authenticity and security, and follows procedures for amendments.
• Performs effectively in all procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) in cardiac and electrophysiology labs, responding promptly to call-ins. Continually upgrades skills, supervises team members, and assists in training new staff.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Minimum 500 hours of coronary intervention procedure experience in a dedicated cardiac interventional lab with a Level II program.
• Experience in complex cardiac interventions, electrophysiology diagnostics/interventions, or pediatric procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Must possess and maintain one of the following licenses or certifications: Florida RN license, Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)], RCIS, RCES, or CVT.
