Job summary

Jackson Therapy Partners, LLC is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for a permanent, full-time role in Reston, VA. The position involves operating PET/CT equipment to produce diagnostic images and measure radioactive isotopes for physician use.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• NMTCB/ARRT certification or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required or preferred.
• Two years of PET/Nuclear Medicine experience preferred; new graduates welcome if proficient within 6 months.
• Virginia state license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET/CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes as part of imaging procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols for handling radioactive materials and patient radiation exposure.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate image interpretation and patient care.

Job description

We’re seeking a PET/CT Technologist for a permanent role in Reston, VA at an outpatient facility. The PET Technologist will operate Positron Emission Tomography equipment to produce diagnostic images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient conditions. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with four 10-hour shifts. No weekends.

• Completion of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.


• Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), or equivalent.


• BLS certification.


• 2 years of PET/Nuclear Medicine experience preferred. New graduates will be considered if able to achieve proficiency within six months.


• Licensed in the state of Virginia preferred but not required.


• Ability to meet agency or facility requirements for operation of PET/CT equipment and safe handling of radioactive materials.


• Two weeks of Personal Time Off (PTO) and two weeks of Vacation annually.
