Job summary

Allara seeks Registered Dietitians to deliver nutrition care to women nationwide via telehealth. This 1099 contract role focuses on remote, patient-facing visits with autonomy and flexible scheduling.

You'll analyze intake data, provide counseling, document records, and collaborate with APRNs and MDs, committing to at least 10 hours weekly of patient contact plus administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Dietitian with current CDR certification.
• 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women’s health conditions (desirable).
• Autonomous provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with compassionate approach.
• Strong telemedicine and virtual patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze intake assessments including medical history and labs.
• Conduct diet and lifestyle counseling sessions via video.
• Use nutrition training materials to provide consistent care.
• Incorporate motivational interviewing in care continuity.
• Collaborate with APRNs and physicians on patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Dedicate at least 10 patient-facing hours per week plus admin time.
• Handle charting and patient inquiries promptly.

Location: Fully remote within the U.S.

Your Impact

• Analyze intake assessments, including medical history, dietary habits, laboratory results, and more.

• Conduct diet and lifestyle counseling and education sessions via video, including offering general movement, sleep, or stress management advice as needed and related to nutrition care.

• Employ Allara’s provided nutrition training and educational materials to ensure consistent care while adapting to patient needs.

• Incorporate motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques throughout the continuity of care.

• Collaborate with APRNs and MDs involved in the medical management of your patients.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

• Dedicate a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week in addition to administrative time.

• Responsibilities also include charting, addressing patient inquiries, and responding to administrative tasks and messages in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Certification: Registered Dietitian with current certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• Experience: 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women’s health conditions (strongly desired).

• Clinical Independence: Proven ability to function as an autonomous provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking skills

• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on compassion and clarity

• Webside Manner: A natural ability to build trust and connection with patients in a virtual setting

• Evidence-Based Practice: A genuine commitment to delivering care rooted in current clinical research

• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working across multiple platforms, including EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools

• Telemedicine Experience: Prior telehealth experience is a plus

• State License Requirements & Hiring Considerations: An active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state is required.
