Bravura Inc. seeks experienced Instructors to support the Regional Signal Training Sites program, delivering courses at Fort Riley, Fort Bliss, Fort Bragg, Fort Gordon, Fort Carson, or Fort Shafter. You will develop and teach Tactical Networks, Radios, IT Certification, and Cyber Security courses.

You will audit materials, incorporate critiques, and proctor assessments while coordinating with Army operations and site managers. Travel to assigned bases is required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years teaching and developing training for complex subjects; a BS degree may be accepted in lieu.
  • Current certification in at least two listed IT/security credentials (e.g., ITF+/Security+/Network+).
  • Experience with AN/PRC series radios/equipment and Army training contexts.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to access post.
  • DOD SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and audit training materials (lesson plans, slides, labs) for accuracy and clarity.
  • Teach classes across Tactical Networks, Radios, IT Certification, and Cyber Security.
  • Incorporate student feedback to improve lessons and maximize value.
  • Proctor assessments (Pearson Vue/Prometric) and coordinate with site manager.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: BITS is seeking experienced Instructor/Writers to provide support on a 1099 basis for instruction out of one of the following locations: Fort Riley in Kansas, Fort Bliss in Texas, Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Fort Gordon in Georgia, Fort Carson in Colorado, or Fort Shafter in Hawaii. The instructor will be supporting the Regional Signal Training Sites (RSTS) program and will develop and teach classes in Tactical Networks, Tactical Radios, IT Certification, and Cyber Security.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Shall assist in developing government owned training materials (Lesson Plan, PowerPoint Presentations, etc.).
  • Shall audit and edit all developed courseware for accuracy, completeness, flow, balance, and clarity of understanding.
  • From the results of the students' critiques, review and modify all lessons, material, labs, and instruction to ensure it imparts the maximum amount of value in the minimum amount of time.
  • Shall provide instruction (must possess industry certifications as required by the Government RSTS Site Manager). The number of courses and their content are subject to change based on DoD and Army requirements.
  • Shall participate in Operational Tests, Training Exercises, and New Equipment Training (NET).
  • Shall conduct and report End of Course survey results and provide results to Government RSTS site manager for review.
  • Shall provide effective training IAW RSTS site-specific training policies, lesson plans, training schedules, and student feedback from end of course evaluations.
  • Shall implement a "train the trainer" curriculum in support of unit sustainment training.
  • Shall ensure training encompasses all operational aspects of the assigned system being trained.
  • Shall provide the functional services and commercially certified personnel related to commercial certification and test completion.
  • Shall perform duties as a Pearson Vue and/or Prometric proctor where applicable and required and coordinate all efforts with Army operations and course manager.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Possess current industry certifications or demonstrated training experience on the tactical/commercial communications equipment required to immediately fill the specific instructor vacancy at the affected site.
  • Possess experience with Army-standard desktop applications and configurations, i.e., daily reporting programs, MS Office, and Army Gold Master (AGM) configurations.
  • Prior Military Service is a plus and considered favorable for teaching experience.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and the ability to get on and off post.
  • Possesses and maintains a DOD SECRET security clearance.
  • Possess experience with Army-standard desktop applications and configurations, i.e., daily reporting programs, MS Office, and Army Gold Master (AGM) configurations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess 7 years or more experience teaching and developing training for complex subjects. In lieu of experience, a Bachelor of Science degree will be accepted.
  • Possess current certification in at least two or more of the following certifications:
    • ITF+ (IT Fundamentals Plus)
    • Security+
    • Network+
    • A+
    • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
    • Cloud+
    • Palo Alto Firewall Essentials
    • Linux+
    • Pentest+
    • CISSP
    • Project Manager Professional (PMP)
  • Preferred but not required Certification:
    • Fiber Optic Installer
    • Data+
    • CASP+
    • CYSA
  • Demonstrated skills with AN/PRC 117F&G, AN/PRC 150, AN/PRC 152, AN/PRC 119, AN/PRC 148.
  • Demonstrated experience with tailoring content and delivery for different audiences, presenting confidently to large or small groups, and using creative approaches to presenting.
  • Demonstrated experience with counseling students to improve their course knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Army Regulation 350-1, TRADOC Regulation 350-70, and TRADOC Pamphlets 350-70-X.
  • Attain industry certifications within 60 days of a teaching assignment (DoD 8570.01M IAT and IAM level 1 certifications).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be willing to travel to designated location.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Instruction is mainly on podium but also includes virtual training.
  • Required to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time while teaching or testing.
