Job summary

CCMS & Associates in the United States is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster. You will perform field property inspections and Investigate claims, with emphasis on accurate reporting using Xactimate software.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of first-party property adjusting experience, possess strong time management and communication skills, and can prepare detailed loss documentation. This is contract-based field work requiring reliable equipment and internet access.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Xactimate estimating software preferred; Cotality a plus.
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Experience preparing Statements of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software.
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report.
• Obtain and interpret official reports.
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client.
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices.
