Job summary

CCMS & Associates is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster in Oregon to perform field inspections and investigations. You will use Xactimate to document damages, prepare loss estimates, and coordinate with clients on coverage findings.

The role requires at least 1 year of property adjusting experience, an Oregon license, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining high service levels.Candidates must pass a background check and

Qualifications

• 1 year of first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Maintain own estimating software – Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus).
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters.
• Oregon state adjusters license.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial field property inspections using Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by obtaining statements from insureds, claimants or witnesses and by interviewing officials and inspecting damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation and reserve reports.
• Obtain and interpret official reports.
• Review coverage forms and endorsements; provide a thorough analysis of coverage in a well-documented report.
• Maintain product quality through compliance with best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
