Job summary

Ccms- is expanding its roster and seeking 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjusters in Michigan. You will perform field property inspections, utilize Xactimate for estimating, and gather statements to support claims.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of property adjusting experience, a Michigan license, and strong communication skills. You will analyze coverage, prepare reports, and maintain quality through best practices while working remotely from your home office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Michigan state adjusters license.
• Experience with preparing Statements of Loss and Proof of Loss.
• Proficient with Xactimate and related estimating workflows.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial field property inspections using Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses, and authorities.
• Prepare reserve recommendations based on investigations.
• Obtain and interpret official reports and review coverage forms.
• Document analyses and communicate findings to clients.

We are answering a call to action to expand our roster - join us as a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster!

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters
• Michigan state adjusters license

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
