JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will be primarily responsible forproviding general desktop hardware and software support to end users across ouroffices, both in person and remotely.
Core Responsibilities
- Account and access administration: manageActive Directory accounts for new hires, departures, and role changes; managesecurity groups, distribution lists, and shared-folder permissions; handlepassword resets, account lockouts, and MFA enrollment in accordance withapproved access standards and IT policy.
- Desktop and application support:troubleshoot Windows workstations, Microsoft 365, Excel Add-ins, Teams, andOutlook; install and configure business and developer applications; supportusers both in person and remotely.
- Endpoint management and patching: performand monitor workstation patching and assist senior IT staff with serverpatching through Quest KACE, track compliance, and remediate identifiedvulnerabilities.
- Remote access support: provision andtroubleshoot RDP and VPN access, and maintain the remote and disaster-recoveryworkstation fleet.
- Specialized platform support: build andmaintain Bloomberg terminals and other trading-floor systems; support developerand quantitative tooling (Visual Studio, VS Code, SQL Server Management Studio,scheduling and container tools), as well as approved AI-assistant applicationsand their workstation integrations.
- Backup and recovery: assist withscheduled tape restore requests, file and database recoveries, includingquarterly restores performed for audit.
- Hardware, workspace, and asset management:deploy and decommission workstations, support office and desk moves, maintainprinters and desk phones, and help track hardware inventory and softwarelicenses.
- Ticket ownership: own and resolve requestsin the service desk queue as well as walkups, email, chat, and calls; maintainaccurate asset records, support documentation, and knowledge-base articles;document work clearly and escalat issues to senior staff when appropriate.
Skills and qualifications
- 1–3 years in a Desktop Support, Help Desk, or ITOperations role.
- Hands-on Active Directory experience: user andgroup administration, permissions, and password management.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11,Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with PowerShell for basic troubleshooting and automation; willingness to developscripting skills.
- Familiarity with hardware lifecycle work,including imaging, workstation deployment, peripheral troubleshooting, assettagging, and secure decommissioning.
- Comfort supporting remoteaccess technologies (RDP, VPN) and conducting remote troubleshooting.
- Basic networking literacy and awareness ofstandard security practices.
- Experience in a regulated, audited, or otherwisecontrolled environment is a strong plus.
- Financial services experience - particularlyBloomberg terminal support - is a plus.
- Any related certification is a plus.

- On-site only in our NYC office this is not aremote or hybrid role.
