Overview

The Key Carrying Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. Under the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Key Carrying Lead is the in-store expert of their department. The Lead focuses on delivering excellent service to customers and providing direction to teammates. They lead by example, demonstrate empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust, respect, and a strong store recognition culture.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls 30-day strategies with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce planning and execution of daily assignments, projects, or events.
  • Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  • Assists with general supervision of the store, including opening and closing, Front End and Cash Office functions, and firearms sales in compliance with regulations.
  • Upholds merchandising and presentation standards through floor sets, signage, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Assists with training teammates on procedures and programs, including onboarding and cross-training.
  • Maintains loss prevention standards and controls within their department.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands-on coaching and explaining the 'why' behind tasks.
  • Leads by example to support organizational vision and store goals, helping teammates understand how their roles contribute to the overall purpose and customer experience.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
  • Adheres to policies related to safety, loss prevention, and confidentiality.
  • Supports the team across the store with an all-hands approach.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-35 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to work at heights over 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).
