Christopher Whitney is working with a fast-growing alternative credit investment manager specializing in private credit, liquid credit and structured credit. We are seeking a strategically minded Vice President of Product Strategy & Investor Relations to help scale the firm's private wealth business, supporting product innovation in line with market demand and investor needs.

Role Overview:

The VP, Product Strategy & Investor Relations will be a key member of the distribution and strategy team, responsible for driving product positioning, managing investor communications, and supporting capital raising efforts across the wealth channel. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the alternative investments landscape, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to translate complex strategies into compelling narratives for financial advisors and private wealth investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership to shape product strategy tailored to the wealth channel, including product development, competitive analysis, and go-to-market planning.
  • Serve as a key liaison for existing and prospective investors, providing timely insights, updates, and education on our investment strategies and performance.
  • Develop and refine investment collateral (pitch decks, fact sheets, whitepapers, commentaries) that resonate with wealth-focused clients.
  • Collaborate closely with distribution, investment, and legal/compliance teams to ensure alignment on messaging and materials.
  • Conduct investor meetings, webinars, and due diligence sessions, both independently and alongside sales professionals.
  • Monitor investor feedback and market trends to inform strategic decisions and enhance client experience.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in investor relations, product strategy, or distribution within asset management. Must have private credit experience.
  • Strong understanding of the wealth management landscape (wirehouses, RIAs, private banks).
  • Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and visual.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, juggle competing priorities, and work cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA preferred.
