Job summary

Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Honesdale, PA & surrounding areas. You will provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities, helping them live safely, independently, and with dignity.

Full-time and part-time hours are available. The compensation is $17.00–$25.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates, plus benefits and

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers.

Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and vocational skill development.
• Assist with recreational and community activities.
• Follow treatment plans and document progress.
• Provide companionship and respite care.
• Submit documentation and payroll on time.

Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Honesdale, PA & Surrounding Areas!

Full-time and part-time hours available.

About the Role

As a DSP, you will provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities. Your work helps individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable, and passionate about helping others.

Key Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and vocational skill development
• Assist with recreational and community activities
• Follow treatment plans and document progress
• Provide companionship and respite care
• Submit documentation and payroll on time
• Participate in ongoing training
• Assist with personal care needs as required

What We’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers if needed

Compensation

• $17.00–$25.00 per hour
• $1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates

Schedule

• Various hours with flexible scheduling
• Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts available

• One year of caregiving experience preferred (not required — training provided)
