Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables and materials. Location is College Grove, TN with 100% travel.

Wage range is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. Candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel full time. Prior telecom labor experience is a plus, with strong safety and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified

• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely : work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery

• Occasionally : use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for 100 % Travelling Laborer Telecom Aerial is $16.00 - $20.00.
