TITLE: Inpatient DRG Auditor/Validator/Educator

LOCATION: 100% Remote but must have residency in CT, GA, MA, NM, RI or WY

SALARY: $90-110k+ salary plus a $7,500 Sign-On/Retention Bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Seeking an acute care Inpatient DRG Auditor/Validator/Educator with at least 3 years of relevant experience

  • Responsible for coordinating coding audits and education

  • Complete quality reviews to validate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, DRG appropriateness, missed secondary diagnoses/procedures and ensure compliance/accuracy

  • Comfortable preparing and presenting educational programs based on audit findings

  • Experienced in writing appeal letters for DRG denials and drafting coding guidelines to ensure coding consistency

  • Employer desires a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently

  • Position will report to the HIM Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS desired
  • Associate’s Degree preferred but experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Experience in Meditech and Cerner a plus
  • 3M experience desired
  • Must live in Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Rhode Island or Wyoming
