Job summary

Vipany Global is seeking an senior AEP Architect to lead the Adobe Experience Platform implementation across the Business AXP program. The role requires hands-on leadership, deep AEP expertise, and strong data architecture skills to govern ingestion, identity, RT-CDP and activation at scale.

The candidate will design reference architectures, schemas, and governance while coordinating architecture reviews with AJO, CJA and Business stakeholders.

Role Summary

The AEP Architect is the senior technical owner of the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) architecture within the Business AXP integration program. This role is responsible for designing, governing, and scaling the AEP platform foundation including data ingestion, identity resolution, Real-Time Customer Profile (RT-CDP), segmentation, and data activation to support personalized, real-time customer engagement across all Business channels. The AEP Architect translates Business data strategy and personalization requirements into a governed, performant, and future-ready AEP implementation, and serves as the primary technical authority for all AEP workstreams across the program. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep Adobe platform expertise combined with strong data architecture fundamentals and client-facing solution design capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the AEP reference architecture: data ingestion strategy, XDM schema design, identity graph configuration, profile unification model, segmentation framework, and data activation patterns
• Architect the end-to-end data ingestion pipeline into AEP: batch (file-based, CRM, offline), streaming (Kafka, Web SDK, Mobile SDK), and server-side event collection across all Business data sources
• Design and govern the XDM schema layer: field group standards, custom schema extensions, dataset taxonomy, and schema evolution policies across all ingestion surfaces
• Lead the identity resolution architecture: identity namespace design, identity graph rules, cross-device stitching strategy, and profile merge policy configuration
• Architect the Real-Time Customer Profile (RT-CDP) layer: profile attribute strategy, computed attributes, profile TTL policies, and guardrail compliance under Business-scale volumes
• Design the segmentation and audience evaluation architecture: batch segmentation schedules, streaming segmentation eligibility, and audience export patterns to AJO and downstream activation channels
• Define the AEP-to-AJO activation architecture: profile attribute consumption, segment membership evaluation within journeys, and identity resolution at activation time
• Establish the Data Distiller architecture: query service patterns, derived dataset design, and data enrichment pipelines that feed back into AEP profiles and CJA reporting layers
• Partner with the AXP Architect, Data Architect, AJO Architect, and CJA Architect to ensure AEP serves as a consistent, governed data foundation across all program workstreams
• Define and enforce AEP governance standards: data usage labels (DULE), consent enforcement, access controls, data lifecycle policies, and PII handling across all datasets
• Guide and review the technical work of AEP/AJO engineers and data engineers; establish platform standards for schema design, ingestion patterns, and profile data quality
• Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture design workshops, and AEP solution reviews with Business and technology stakeholders
• Monitor AEP platform health, guardrail utilization, and profile volume trends; proactively identify risks and drive mitigation strategies
• Evaluate Adobe AEP product roadmap items and new platform capabilities; advise the program on adoption readiness, sequencing, and integration impact

• AEP data governance DULE labels, consent policies, data lifecycle management, and access control frameworks
• AEP guardrails and capacity management profile volume, segmentation job SLAs, ingestion throughput, and identity graph limits
• Event-driven architecture fundamentals Kafka, streaming ingestion patterns, and real-time profile update flows
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) cloud storage, data pipelines, and networking relevant to AEP integrations
• Client-facing technical leadership architecture workshops, stakeholder alignment, and cross-workstream solution design

Typical Experience

• 10 15+ years in data architecture, MarTech architecture, or solution architecture, with deep hands-on expertise on AEP/RT-CDP programs
• Architect-level experience across multiple full-cycle AEP implementations, preferably in financial services, retail, or high-volume personalization environments
• Proven experience designing identity resolution strategies and real-time profile architectures at enterprise scale
• Strong grasp of data governance, consent management, and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) as they apply to AEP implementations
• Experience collaborating across AJO, CJA, and AXP/decisioning workstreams in a unified activation program
• Adobe certification required: AEP Architect or RT-CDP, additional AJO or Analytics certifications a strong plus
• Prior experience in a Business, financial services, or CDP-led personalization program strongly preferred
