Mindrift is conducting a paid, in-person study in Midtown Manhattan to understand Hebrew language usage on phones and apps. We are seeking native Hebrew speakers living in New York City to participate for three consecutive days.

Participants will walk through daily phone usage, share examples of routine activity, and complete a short habits questionnaire. The study offers compensation at $100 per hour, up to $2,400 for the full 3-day participation.

Mindrift is running a research study on how people use their phones, apps and everyday digital tools, and how that differs across languages and cultures. We’re looking for native Hebrew speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.

Why your language matters

Most technology is still designed with English speakers in mind. This study helps researchers understand how people who communicate in Hebrew actually use their devices, so future products work better for them.

What you’ll do

• Spend 1-3 days with our research team in Midtown Manhattan.
• Walk us through how you use your phone and favourite apps in daily life.
• Share examples of your everyday phone activity with the research team. You decide what’s included.
• Fill in a short questionnaire about your habits.

Who we’re looking for

• 18+ and currently living in NYC.
• A native Hebrew speaker who grew up in Israel.
• You use Hebrew in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
• You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting October 16 on Friday.
• Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.

Compensation

$100/hour, up to $2,400 for the full study.
