Responsibilities

• Teach reading, language arts, mathematics, social science, general science, health, art, physical education, and music.
• Develop instructional materials and provide individual and group instruction.
• Maintain attendance records and appropriate records of pupil progress.
• Administer group standardized tests as required by District/State.
• Communicate progress with parents and coordinate with staff to meet pupil needs.
• Plan and coordinate work of aides and teacher assistants as needed.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing growth activities.
