Job summary

West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) is seeking passionate General Education Teachers to join our district-wide pool for elementary, middle, and high schools. Teachers will support academic growth and social-emotional development under school-site leadership.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction with district curricula, creating inclusive classrooms, assessing student progress, and collaborating with teams to support student success across grades – 7–12 as applicable.

Qualifications

• Complete EdJoin application with documents listed
• Letter of Interest and Current Resume included
• Copy of Valid Credential (Clear/Preliminary/Intern)
• English Learner Authorization (CLAD or equivalent)
• BA degree transcripts provided
• CSET results if applicable to credential pathway
• 2-3 Letters of Recommendation included

Responsibilities

• Teach grade-level content using district-adopted curriculum across core subjects
• Develop instructional materials and modify instruction for diverse learners
• Establish a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment
• Evaluate pupil progress using multiple measures and communicate results to families
• Collaborate with department or grade-level teams and participate in district initiatives
• Fulfill reasonable non-teaching duties as assigned
