Job summary

ISD 622 is seeking a Credit Recovery Teacher for Tartan High School in Saint Paul, MN. This one-year, part-time position involves after-school instruction for students in grades 9-12 to recover credits and graduate with peers.

Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm–4:30 pm; start ASAP with availability in October 2026. Compensation is $40.48/hour and benefits align with the teacher labor agreement.

Qualifications

• Tier 3 or Tier 4 Teaching License for grades 9-12.
• Licensed teachers in Math, Social Studies, English, or Science.
• Work with the district to obtain cross-curricular license to cover all core subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in the core curriculum areas.
• Provide student supervision and classroom management for a variety of students and grade levels.
• Make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies.
• Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed.
• Follow the prescribed course of study, except as authorized in the curriculum outlines or by the principals or other official rules and regulations.
• Evaluate student performance according to system used by school and/or District; promote student achievement; maintain required student records; make related reports to the principal as prescribed or authorized by the superintendent.
• Maintain contact and communications with parents of students and work with them in the development of each student.
• Perform classroom management duties; enforce District rules governing the conduct of students; take appropriate disciplinary action with students who do not follow District rules.

Education
