Responsibilities

• Report abnormal vital signs and glucose readings to the overseeing nurse.
• Report a change in patient condition to the nurse taking care of the patient.
• Documentation in the EMR that is accurate and detailed when needed.
• Maintain a clean environment (rooms straightened, drains emptied).
• Protect medical records and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Fill out incident reports as needed for actual events and near misses.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Nursing Assistant must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care. They will act within the scope of practice for Nursing.

The Nursing Assistant reports directly charge nurse/team leader.

QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

• 1. Provide appropriate care to patients, including but not limited to, bathing, vital signs, and glucose monitoring, walking, and answering the call light as needed.
