A staffing agency is seeking a skilled WebSphere Administrator for a 12-month contract in Wisconsin, mostly remote. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in WebSphere administration, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across Linux and Windows environments. Responsibilities include supporting various departments’ applications on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ, ensuring effective deployment of applications and compliance with security protocols. Training in scripting tools is a plus.

Must be Local WI to APPLY. Candidate will be allowed to work mostly remote. All work – remote included – must be done in Wisconsin. Candidate must currently reside in Wisconsin. Candidates not located in Wisconsin will not be considered and should not be submitted. (Candidate must work CST business hours).

• Installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows).
• Proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
• Resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
• Hands‑on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal.

Nice To Have Skills

• Provide a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
• Training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
• Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for various departments’ applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.
• Responsible for installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software.
• Responsible for application deployments.
• Maintain and update infrastructure documentation.
• Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools.
• Provide additional troubleshooting support.
