Job summary

UCP of Central Florida is seeking a dedicated tutor to provide 1:1 or small group instruction, focusing on students with disabilities and diverse learning needs in Central Florida. The role emphasizes effective use of high-stakes testing strategies and flexible teaching platforms to meet individual student goals.

The tutor will manage progress, attendance, and data collection, collaborating with Interventionists, coaches, and administrators to tailor interventions and enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida teaching certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years classroom teaching experience with students with and without disabilities.
• Experience tutoring or small group instruction is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with high-stakes testing strategies and educational apps.

Responsibilities

• Provides 1:1 or small group tutoring for assigned students.
• Implements high stakes testing instructional strategies to stimulate learning and engagement.
• Uses tutoring materials as designed in Google Drive.
• Monitors student progress and attendance with high expectations.
• Collects student data and supports with interventions and enrichment lessons.
• Collaborates with Interventionist/Coach regarding instruction and data-driven decisions.
• Receives coaching from administrators and instructional coaches regularly.
• Records student data using Google Sheets/Drive.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
