PARAEDUCATOR GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction and supervision of a building administrator, and under the supervision of licensed/certificated staff, all paraeducators perform tasks related to the instruction and supervision of students, prepare instructional materials, carry out behavior management plans, provide general health room support, perform limited clerical and reception tasks, provide personal health related services for medically fragile students or students with special needs, and other relative duties as assigned by supervisor.


PARAEDUCATOR JOB TERMS:


  • Two years of study at an institution of higher education



    • The institution you choose must meet five criteria of the Higher Education Ac.

    • All classes must be at level 100 or higher.



  • Associates degree or higher (All associate degrees are acceptable)

  • Passing the ETS ParaPro Assessment

Hours: 5.5 Daily


Days: 180 Contract Days
