New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. You will work with teachers to support students’ academic, behavioral, and daily living goals, providing direct, encouraging support to help each child succeed.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans, assisting with transitions and personal care, and collecting progress data to inform instruction, all within a safe, structured classroom environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies is necessary.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

As a Special Education Paraprofessional at New Story Schools, you will work alongside teachers to support students’ academic, behavioral, and daily living goals. You’ll play a vital role in helping each student succeed through direct support, patience, and encouragement.

What You’ll Need

• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations
