Work in a small program focused on creating individualized programs that enable students with disabilities to participate authentically within the RMS community. Qualified candidates will providepersonalcare, academic, social/behavioral, organizational, and supervisory support to the student, attend classesas needed, assist with clerical duties in the Learning Center as needed, participate in grade level activities & initiatives, and all school duties as assigned. Daily bus support is a requirement of this position. Candidates with training/experience, who enjoy working as a member of a team, and who possess a positive outlook and a "can do" attitude are strongly encouraged to apply. This position primarily provides 1:1 support, and is eligible for differential pay as determined by student needs. Position starts immediately, open until filled.
This position is governed by the HSS/NEA-NH Union Agreement.
Thisis a school year position with a base payrange of $19.05 to $24.99 per hour, depending on education and experience.(Additional 25% 1:1 Differential payrange is $4.76 - $6.25 per hour.)

The Special Education Assistant is employed to assist one or a small number of specific students with special needs in the educational setting. The students’ goals and objectives are re-assessed on an annual basis. The Individual Student Assistant is employed to support the special education teacher in the implementation of the student’s Individual Education Program.
