Job summary

Young World Physical Education in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Special Education to provide 1:1 instruction for students with disabilities. You will assist teachers and support students academically, socially, and emotionally. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma, experience with children, and strong interpersonal skills.

This full-time position reports to the Principal, working 10 months a year with a salary range of $22.47 to $25.28 per hour. Non-Certified staff are encouraged to apply to contribute to an inclusive educational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teacher aide or working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with instructional duties and classroom management.
• Provide individual support and materials for students.
• Collect and record student data related to skill practice.
• Implement behavior modification plans as needed.
• Participate in classroom activities and discussions.
