Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) to support a student in a Pittsburgh, PA classroom. This contract-part-time role requires delivering nursing care in accordance with physician orders and school policies, with attention to safety and documentation.

The RN will coordinate care with teachers, families, and district staff, maintain CPR and health certifications as required, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing.
• One year of school nursing experience, preferred.
• Pediatric experience, preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing process and deliver individualized student care within the school environment.
• Ensure all services are provided per physician orders and school policies.
• Coordinate with school staff to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor student health and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Communicate with families and district personnel regarding care needs.

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible foroverseeing the implementation of the nursing process and deliveringindividualized student care within the school environment. This role ensuresthat all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and inaccordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the SchoolDistrict and Amergis Healthcare.

Minimum Requirements:
