Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing support for a medically fragile middle school student in Buffalo, MN. The assignment is a temporary leave coverage from early/mid-November through February, with potential to remain as PRN afterwards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Minnesota RN license.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with medically complex or medically fragile students preferred.
• G-tube and medication administration experience preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate, attentive 1:1 care in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile middle school student during the school day
• Monitor the student's medical and respiratory status
• Administer medications as needed
• Provide G-tube feedings and management
• Respond to additional medical needs as they arise
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator
• Provide care in accordance with applicable state laws, nursing standards, and school policies
