Job summary

Amergis is seeking a 1:1 School LVN/LPN for a contract, part-time position in Santa Clarita, CA. The role focuses on identifying and addressing health concerns in students within the school setting and promoting wellness throughout the day.

The LVN/LPN will monitor students’ health, provide basic health education, and refer to healthcare resources when necessary, following state education codes and scope of practice. Requires an active LPN/LVN license and at least 18 years of age.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in the state which services are being provided.
• One year of school nurse experience, preferred.
• One-year pediatric experience, pre
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

The 1:1 School LPN/LVN is responsible for identifying andaddressing health concerns in students within the school setting. This roleincludes promoting general wellness, providing health education, and supportingdisease prevention efforts. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student’s physicalcondition throughout the school day and refers to appropriate healthcareresources when necessary. All care is delivered in accordance with the SchoolLPN/LVN scope of practice and in compliance with applicable state educationcodes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current LPN/LVN license in the state which services arebeing provided
• One year of school nurse experience, preferred
