Interim Healthcare in Lackawanna County, PA, is seeking a licensed practical nurse to support local school districts. Work involves direct care for students, medication administration, and health services in classroom settings.

You will develop IHPS and IEPS with educators, monitor student health, and help promote a safe, inclusive environment. Flexible scheduling and weekly pay are included, with opportunities across district calendars and summer programs.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license issued by the State of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in school health or similar setting.
• CPR certification required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical care to students, including medications and health procedures.
• Develop and implement IHPS and IEPS with educators and families.
• Monitor students' health, especially those with chronic or acute conditions.
• Educate students on health and hygiene tailored to their development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide health input for educational planning.

Covering Needs in Local School Districts Throughout Lackawanna County

• Specialties; Trach/Vent, Feeding Tubes, Diabetes, Seizures, Catheters, Incontinence, Etc.
• Salary up to $32 per Hour
• Hours M-f Days

Essential Functions for the LPNLicensed Practical Nurse:

• Provide Direct Medical Care: Administer Medications, Perform Health Procedures, and Respond to Medical Emergencies for Students with Chronic or Acute Health Needs.
• Develop and Implement Health Plans: Create and Maintain Individualized Health Care Plans (IHPS) and Emergency Action Plans (IEPs) in Collaboration with Educators and Families.
• Monitor Student Health Needs: Track and Assess Students' Physical and Emotional Health, Especially Those with Disabilities or Special Medical Conditions.
• Educate on Health and Hygiene: Teach Students Basic Hygiene, Self-care, and Life Skills Related to Health, Tailored to Developmental and Cognitive Levels.
• Support Special Education Teams: Participate in IEP(Individualized Education Program) Meetings and Provide Health-related Input for Students' Educational Planning.
• Promote a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Ensure the Classroom Is Safe and Accessible, Train Staff on Health Protocols, and Advocate for Students’ Health-related Needs.

Minimum Requirements for the LPNLicensed Practical Nurse:

• Current Nursing License in the State of Pa
• Minimum One (1) Year Relative Experience; Required

• Willing to Undergo Pre-employment Screenings
