Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for a school-based role in Charleston, SC for the 2026-2027 year. You will provide one-on-one ASL interpretation throughout the day, ensuring the student can access curriculum and participate with peers and staff.

This position welcomes both experienced school interpreters and those new to the school setting, with up to $48/hour compensation and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day.
• Ability to facilitate communication between student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
